Mikayla Grandison graduated from the Interpreter Education Program (IEP) at Columbus State Community College in 2018. Mikayla joined the Hallenross staff in 2020 and has since hosted workshops, mentored emerging interpreters, and received her National Interpreter Certification.
Mikayla is an alumni of St. Catherine University’s (CATIE Center) Graduation to Certification Program and Northeastern University's Center for Atypical Language Interpreter Training Program. These two programs provided experience working with atypical language, strategies for a variety of interpreting settings, and experience working with Deaf interpreters.
Mikayla is interested in researching how interpreting works and how interpreter's lived experiences effect their work. She is currently studying this topic at The Ohio State University while completing her Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Studies.
